Our take
I picked up the 2-pack of CAP 30 lb hex dumbbells for a home gym setup. The rubber coating is decent and has held up well so far, protecting my floors from dings. The hex shape is a nice touch since they don't roll away when I set them down. The weight is accurate and the knurling on the handles is adequate for a secure grip during curls and presses. However, the rubber has a bit of an odor initially and the finish isn't as premium as some higher-end brands. At this price for a pair, they're a solid value for basic training. Just don't expect them to survive heavy drops on concrete.
